Abstract

ix Abstract Maria Oktoviana Neno. An Analysis on Multiple Intelligences in EFL classroom of academic 2022/2023 The objective of this research are1). To identifythe application of the Multiple Intelligences in ELT at SMPS St.YosefMaubesi, 2). To know the activities made by ELT teacher to induce student’s eight distinct forms of Intelligences, This research is qualitative research. The research was conducted in August 2022. The subject of research was 1 English teacher and 28 students from the first grade. The techniques of collecting the data were interview and observation. The steps to collect the data were: the writer interviewed the english teacher to know her preliminary regarding planning and designing her teaching activities; the writer observed English teaching and learning process in classroom; finally the writer analyzed and reported the data. The result of the research shows that in ELT at SMPs St.Yosef Maubesi, the teacher induce students’ all eight distinct forms of intelligence, the roles of Teacher in Applying Multiple Intelligences is identifying students’ intelligences profile and designing English lesson plan/sylabus in which regarding four stage namely : awaken the intelligences, Amplify the intelligences, Teach with/for intelligences, and tranfer the intelligences Keywords: Multiple Intelligences (ELT)
