Abstract

Moniz, Yunita Febriani. 2023. Thesis. Improving Students’ Vocabulary through Flashcard of SMA Negeri 3 Kefamenanu in the School Year 2022/2023, the main supervisor Drs. Edmundus Bouk, M.Pd and the assosiate advisor Delti Yulita, S.Pd, M.Pd. The aims of the study are to describe students’ vocabulary in learning and to know the problems students’ ability to learn vocabulary using flashcard media. The method of this research used Classroom Action Research (CAR).The population are 30 students’ and the sample are 15 students’. The instrument of this research is multiple choice. The test consisted 20 of multiple choice. Procedure of data collection, researcher used two test to the research, that’s pre-test and post-test. Techniques of data analyses based on the scoring the students’ answer of the test by using formula, classifying the score of the students’ and calculating the rate percentage of the students’ score. This research was conducted in class XI Kefamenanu Senior high School. Researchers used quantitative data of 15 students. Researchers used cycle 1 and cycle 2, observation, and test in analyzing the data. The results of the improving of the first cycle were 35, (48%). The second cycle was 60, (84%) which experienced an increase. In addition Flashcard techniques allow individuals to improving vocabulary more clearly.
