Abstract

Thesis with the title of efforts to improve the mathematics learning outcomes of class x students of SMA Negeri Noemuti Timur through the implementation of problem based learning. The purpose of this research is to improve students mathematics learning outcomes through the implementation of problem based learning. This type of research is classroom action research. The subjects of this study were 20 class x students. The type of data used is primary data namely data obtained directly from the research subject. The results of the research show that there is an increase in mathematics learning outcomes through the implementation of problem based learning. The results of this study indacate that there is an increase in student learning outcomes which can be seen in the average test scores for each cycle, where is first cycle obtained an average grade of 75.4 and a grade completeness percentage of 60%, while it increased in cycle second with a grade average of 80.4 and a grade completenesss percentage of 80%. Thus it can be concluded that in learning mathematics with the implementation of problem based learning can improve student learning outcomes in class x SMA Negeri Noemuti Timur.
