Abstract

Asa, Regina. 2021 this thesis entitled “Analyzing Vocabulary Mastery Using Pictures Of The Second Grade Students Of Smp Negeri Oelneke In The School Year 2020 / 2021”. Advisor: (1) Drs.Edmundus Bouk, M. Pd. And (2) Febronia Lasi, S. Pd., M. Ed. This is aimed to point out whether the Eight students of SMPN Oelneke have ability vocabulary of masteri using picture, to what extant of vocabulary of mastery using pictureis still difficult for the student to understand, to categorize the student’s level of ability of mastering vocabulary of mastering using picture. In order to gather the data needed, the writer took 20 of the second grade students class eight of Smp Negeri Oelneke in the school year 2020/2021 as the sample. The writer gave some test to know the students ability vocabulary of mastering using picture. The test can be multiple choice consists of 30 test item wherears. The method used in the research is descriptive qulitative method. To analyze the data, from the calculation above, shows that those were 83.8% of 14 students of class eight by Smp Negeri Oelneke mastery of vocabulary by using picture. Individually the level of the students in understanding vocabulary by using picture was very good. The finding data showed that the students ability in very good level. There is possible solution to overcome the student’s difficulties in mastery vocabulary by using picture such as: the students must know about the vocabulary using picture is one of the media of students to improve their knowledge about english material.
