Abstract

Nahak, Oviana 2021.” Error Analysis On Thesis Abstract Writing Made By The Alumni Of English Study Program Students From 2015-2020 Years”, The Main supervisor named Imanuel Kamlasi, S.Pd, M.Pd and Second Anselmus Sahan, S.Pd, M.Pd. The objectives of this study were:To find out whether or the students have mastered to write thesis abstracts. To identify the types of error the students make in writing thesis abstract. To categorize the students’ level of mastery on writing thesis abstract. This research is a descriptive study using a qualitative approach. This research was carried out to obtain a picture of the exact description of the types of errors contained in abstract writing by students of English Study Program of Timor University.the students made Error on Misformation have total 26(88,16%) and Avarge 4,72(16,01), Error on Omission have total 12( 40%) and avarage 2,18(8,07%), Error on Misordering have total 10(27,43%) and Avarage 1,81(4,99%), error on Addition have total 7(26,85%) and Avarage 1,27(2,46). It means that Misformation is still the difficult part for them to master writing the abstract
