Abstract
Thesis, “Analysis of Vocabulary mastery by Using Picture of the Second Grade Students of SMP Negeri Neonbat in the School Year 2020/2021”. Main Advisor is Imanuel Kamlasi,S.Pd.M.Pd. Associate Advisor is Drs.Edmundus Bouk, M.Pd. The aims of the study are 1) learning vocabulary using a media that is the pictures. 2) The picures as media of learning vocabulary. The method used in this study is qualitative method. This research used vocabulary test. The sample of this study is the students of SMP Negeri Neonbat consist of 20. The results of showed that the level of the class students of SMP Negeri Neonbat of the was excellent. The students average score is 92%. The students level in active was excellent, the students’ average score is 93%, the students level in passive was excellent, the students average score 93,35%, the students level in adjective was good , the students average 78%. The students are still difficult to understand the vocabulary item test. There are two items categorized as very difficult item, namely items 21,22. There are four items categorized as difficult items, namaly items 10,14,36,37. Looking at the results of the research;it showed that adjective is the most difficult for students. The average score is 67%.
